Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation seeks Policy Officer
Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation is a membership organisation representing over 14,000 people who work in the highways and transportation sector.
CIHT wishes to appoint a policy officer to help our Policy and Technical affairs team to develop a range of outputs for our membership and to help shape and influence the transport sector by working collaboratively with other organisations, including governments. You’ll help develop the way we exchange knowledge amongst our membership.
You will have some experience in developing outputs from group working and have some experience of policy development or influencing as well as being comfortable working with the rest of the staff at CIHT and our members. Ideally you’ll have an interest in the issues facing the transport sector.
This is a great opportunity to help deliver our policy and technical activity. The role calls for a highly motivated individual with; strong organisational skills and who is an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, is able to work under pressure, balancing a variety of demands on their time. The role also requires someone with energy and enthusiasm to motivate volunteer members to make a difference to the organisation.
