The Energy team
Citizens Advice’s Energy team is the statutory advocate of domestic and small business energy consumers in Great Britain. We receive detailed and complex market data about the performance, behaviour and proposals of key players. We also conduct in-depth consumer research. We use all this information to influence service providers, policy makers and regulators through framing debates, asking insightful questions and providing thoughtful, innovative and evidence-based solutions. The post will be based in our retail energy markets team, helping ensure energy suppliers deliver improved customer service. We do this by analysing the data about the energy issues people contact us about as well as monitoring company policies and practices.
We are looking for exceptional individuals with strong analytical, research and communication skills, curiosity, and ambition to achieve real change on behalf of our clients and consumers. Our strong brand will give you unique opportunities to engage with those who have the power to make change. You will feed into our work influencing policy makers such as regulators, industry, the civil service and parliamentarians and you will work closely with our world-class news, campaigns, public affairs and data teams.
Relevant professional experience is not essential for this role, but a demonstrable interest in and understanding of the policy landscape is vital. You’ll also be contributing to an inventive, responsible and generous team culture, so strong collaborative skills are essential.
