Instagram is looking for an experienced team member to help us design, launch, and scale our public policy programs. This person will be part of a global team that is responsible for designing and implementing programs that deepen people’s understanding of Instagram’s policy efforts including how it supports and empowers groups such as young people, women, LGBTQ, and many more, on a range of issues from expression and empowerment to safety, privacy, and security.

A successful candidate will have the skills and experience to build substantive programs and relationships with key advocacy groups, policy makers, academics, and researchers. At the same time, the ideal candidate understands how to be part of a successful startup and is willing to do anything required, large or small, to get a job done. Candidates should have experience building and running campaigns and marketing for policy audiences. They should be creative, resourceful, knowledgeable about technology policy issues, analytical, an excellent writer.

This position is full-time and will be located in Facebook’s London Headquarters.


  • Design launch and scale campaigns of all sizes to support Instagram’s efforts around special groups, interests, and policy issues
  • Build creative partnerships with advocacy groups, academics and industry bodies
  • Work with cross functional teams across the company to ensure that programs/campaigns are advancing external understanding around key policy issues
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of Instagram
  • Manage the creation of communications, educational, and marketing materials to support the programs
  • Organize the launch of programs and campaigns designed to enhance awareness around policy issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelors degree, post-graduate or professional degrees a plus
  • 5+ years professional experience
  • Fluency in French or German a plus
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Low ego, high interest in team collaboration
  • Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively
  • Experience in the Internet technology industry a plus
  • Passion for Instagram is essential
