Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
We are looking to recruit a bright and helpful media intern who wants to gain experience in media and communications and help the media team amplify our voice and influence.
The primary focus will be researching and mapping media coverage as well as making a significant contribution to the work of the news and PR teams. You will be involved in drafting press releases, pitching stories to the media and being alert to relevant external events that might impact on or be of be interest to WWF. You will also gain exposure to and experience of all aspects of NGO media work and will be treated as a full member of the team.
This is an opportunity for the right person to help us influence real change for our world.
A team player, you must be able to demonstrate an interest in press and media work, as well as a genuine interest in and commitment to WWF’s values. You should have experience working with databases as well as exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Highly organised, you must be proactive, confident and adaptable and be prepared to help out at times when the rest of the team are busy.
At WWF-UK we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community and we offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.
